It disturbs me greatly to see this degree of complicity in the same process that I grew up in. Here the so called law of god is selectively able to intervene when it suits the requirements of someone who claims to have connections to god and has some purpose that must remain a secret of the church.

To me this is a clear statement that says the same blackmail process applied by people who have submitted to this as a way of life as a part of their religion driven by god and directed by fear of hell, fear of death and fear of eternal death and damnation and fear of those with a higher connection. That sort of environment builds a noose around your own thinking capabilities and chokes off the credibility of anything that challenges your way of coping.

A life of pain and suffering filled with fear and dread determined to keep the good name of the church on high no matter what it takes simply because it is sanctioned by the church and thus by god himself and the pope if some added weight is needed.

The toxicity of the Catholic church rides across all areas of life. This is a demand for me to be subordinate to something that has abused me in every possible manner. This pollutes any connection I may have with the Federal Police. This is theocracy no different to the intrusion of religion in politics in Muslim countries that we so despise.

When you learn as a child that when a person can be led to believe in the fantasy of Catholicism they can be induced to believe anything. They can be seduced into undertaking any action. Entire congregations can be held to the blackmail that the law of the church over-rides the law of the country and instills in them a rigorous understanding that the church rules their life not the law. You are owned by the church body and soul and your life is at their beck and call, their whim or their demand. It truly is an obscenity that this has survived this far in our society. I will be forever grateful that I was fortunate enough to live through the introduction of the Internet and its subsequent provision to a hungry world for knowledge and I am pleased to also have been alive to see the reality of what this religion is exposed for all the world to see and for that to never be forgotten. A few hundred years earlier and I would likely have finished up as toast on a fire rather than being sectioned or accidentally poisoned by some helpful Catholic doing gods work in covering up another scandal of the church.
