RADICAL laws that would deliver justice to thousands of victims of sex abuse at the hands of Catholic priests and teachers are being considered by the Keneally Government.

Please see the article published today, which is a very positive sign. We have not verified this information, and note that if this law reform is achieved, it is likely to take some time. There is also the issue of a likely change in Government in this State.
Nevertheless, the story being out there that these changes are being considered ought to have a positive impact on the Church’s mindset in approaching claims – as it will reduce the security it presently feels in having a complete protection from liability.
